Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our school district in Peyton, CO for the 2024-2025 school year. As a vital member of our educational team, the OT will work collaboratively with students, parents, teachers, and administrators to promote the development and independence of students with diverse needs.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to determine students' individual needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students both individually and in group settings.
- Collaborate with educators and other professionals to implement strategies that support students' academic and functional success.
- Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting intervention plans as needed.
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding students' therapy goals and progress.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to the development of students' educational plans.
- Stay current with best practices and evidence-based interventions in the field of occupational therapy.
Requirements:
- Valid Colorado license or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
- Previous experience working with school-aged children preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to promoting students' independence and well-being.
