Blazer Jobs is seeking a skilled and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team for the remainder of the 2024-2025 school year in Vallejo, CA. This full-time position will support students across multiple schools within the district. The SLP will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating students with speech and language disorders, as well as collaborating with other educational professionals to develop individualized therapy plans that meet each student's needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments to identify students with communication disorders
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with speech and language impairments
- Provide direct therapy services to students in individual or small group settings
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to ensure student progress and address communication barriers
- Develop and implement evidence-based interventions for students with speech, language, and communication challenges
- Provide consultation and training to staff on strategies to enhance communication in the classroom
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and treatment plans
- Attend IEP meetings and contribute to the development and review of IEP goals and objectives
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
- Valid California Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) License
- Experience working with children in a school setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of speech and language disorders, assessment tools, and therapeutic techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, and staff
- Knowledge of IEP processes and special education services
