Join our dedicated team as a Pediatric Occupational Therapist (OT) in the Texas area, where you will play a crucial role in delivering individualized occupational therapy services to pediatric patients in the comfort of their homes. At Circle of Care, we don't just provide therapy; we build lasting relationships with our patients and their families, ensuring comprehensive and compassionate care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate on Patient Care Plans: Actively participate in developing and updating individualized care plans that address each child's unique occupational therapy needs.
- Plan and Provide Therapy Services: Schedule and conduct targeted rehabilitative activities and interventions to help pediatric patients improve their functional abilities and achieve therapy goals.
- Conduct Comprehensive Evaluations: Use standardized assessments to evaluate patients and determine their specific therapy needs.
- Document Treatment and Progress: Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records, documenting patient responses and progress during each visit.
- Educate Families and Healthcare Teams: Provide guidance and training to family members and other healthcare professionals on techniques to support patient progress.
- Supervise COTAs: Oversee Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTA and OTAs) to ensure adherence to best practices and compliance with state guidelines.
- Engage in Case Conferences: Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and refine treatment strategies collaboratively.
- Coordinate Patient Visits: Confirm weekly schedules with Area Support Managers, ensuring organized and timely patient care.
- Support Discharge Planning: Collaborate with patients, families, and physicians to facilitate effective discharge planning and complete necessary documentation.
Qualifications:
- Education: Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Licensure: Current Texas licensure as an Occupational Therapist Registered (OTR) and registration with the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA).
- Preferred: One year of experience in pediatric or home health occupational therapy.
