Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced School Social Workers for a full-time role with school districts in the Ypsilanti, MI area. This is a rewarding opportunity to support students across elementary and high school settings while collaborating with staff and families to foster academic and personal success.
Position Details:

Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hrs/week

Caseload: 1 Elementary role and 1 High School role available

Work Setting: Onsite only
Key Responsibilities:
-
Provide direct counseling and social-emotional support to students
-
Conduct assessments and develop individualized service plans
-
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to meet student needs
-
Support crisis intervention and conflict resolution strategies
-
Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and district policies
-
Advocate for students to ensure equitable access to resources and opportunities
Requirements:
-
Must hold SSW-310 Authorization for School Social Work OR MDE School Social Worker Credential

Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program
-
Previous school-based experience preferred, but not required
-
Strong communication and collaboration skills
