Middle School School Psychologist
Location: Las Cruces, NM
Pay Rate: $45$55 per hour (based on experience)

This is a great opportunity to support middle school students academic, social, and emotional development while collaborating with teachers, staff, and families.

Requirements:

Applicants must meet all state and local requirements, including:

Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
Active New Mexico Public Education Department (PED) License with a School Psychologist endorsement
National Certification in School Psychology (NCSP) preferred, but not required
Prior school-based experience working with middle school students preferred
Strong knowledge of psychological assessments, interventions, and counseling practices
Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities:

Typical duties of a Middle School School Psychologist include:

Conducting psychoeducational assessments to evaluate cognitive, academic, behavioral, and social-emotional functioning
Assisting in the development, implementation, and monitoring of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Providing direct counseling and intervention services to students in both individual and group settings
Consulting with teachers, administrators, and families to support student success and well-being
Assisting with crisis intervention and response services when needed
Promoting positive school climate and mental health initiatives for middle school students
