Position Overview
Blazer Jobs is seeking a Masters Level School Social Worker to join our school for the 20252026 academic year. This is a rewarding opportunity to support students in special education programs through intervention support in both small group settings and 1:1 sessions. The role will primarily involve working with elementary-level students (K6), with the possibility of middle or high school assignments depending on caseload needs.
Responsibilities

Provide social-emotional and behavioral support for students receiving special education services

Deliver individual and group interventions tailored to student needs

Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student success

Manage a caseload of approximately 3545 students (K12)

Document progress and maintain compliance with state and district requirements
Qualifications

Masters Degree in Social Work (required)

Michigan Department of Education (MDE) Certification:
-
Full Approval or Social Worker Certificate, OR
-
SSW 310 credential letter from university with active application to MDE

Michigan Social Worker License through LARA (required)

Experience working with K12 students, preferably in a school setting

Strong collaboration and communication skills
