Position Overview
The SLP will provide diagnostic, therapeutic, and consultative services to students with communication disorders. This role involves close collaboration with teachers, administrators, families, and special education staff to ensure student success in the classroom and beyond.
Requirements

Must meet all state and local licensure requirements for Speech Language Pathologists in Illinois

Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders

Active Illinois SLP license and any required certifications

Experience working in school settings preferred

Strongly preferred: experience supporting special education students and families
Typical Job Duties

Conduct assessments and evaluations of students speech, language, and communication skills

Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to meet student needs

Provide individual and group therapy sessions tailored to student goals

Monitor progress and adjust intervention strategies as appropriate

Document services and maintain accurate records in compliance with district and state guidelines

Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school teams to promote student achievement

Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team discussions, and professional development activities
