Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing qualified Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs) for a full-time contract position in Oneonta, AL. This assignment will provide maternity leave coverage from November 3, 2025, through December 15, 2025.
Position Overview
The SLP will provide evaluation, therapy, and consultative services to students with communication disorders in a school-based setting. This position involves working collaboratively with educators, families, and special education teams to support students academic and developmental growth.
Requirements

Must meet all local and state regulations for Speech Language Pathologists in Alabama

Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders

Active Alabama SLP license and any required certifications

Previous school-based experience strongly preferred

Experience with special education students and families highly valued
Typical Job Duties

Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments for students
-
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with student needs

Provide direct therapy services in both group and individual settings

Monitor and document student progress, revising treatment plans as necessary

Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to integrate communication goals into classroom learning

Participate in IEP meetings and provide professional recommendations

Ensure compliance with district, state, and professional guidelines
