Blazer Jobs is currently interviewing experienced and entry-level Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs) for a full-time school-based contract position in Billerica, MA. This role will involve supporting students with diverse needs, including those who use AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) devices and students with complex learning profiles. Clinical Fellows (CFs) are encouraged to apply and will be considered.
Position Overview
The SLP will assess, diagnose, and provide therapy services for students with speech, language, and communication needs. This position requires a collaborative approach, working closely with teachers, administrators, families, and special education teams to support student growth and success.
Requirements

Must meet all Massachusetts state and local licensure requirements for Speech Language Pathologists

Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders

Active Massachusetts SLP license and relevant certifications

Familiarity with AAC devices and strategies for supporting students with complex learning needs required

Previous school-based experience preferred, but open to Clinical Fellows (CFs)

Strong communication and teamwork skills
Typical Job Duties

Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments of speech, language, and communication needs

Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students

Provide therapy sessions in individual and group settings tailored to student needs

Support students using AAC devices, training staff and families as needed

Track and document progress in compliance with district and state requirements

Participate in IEP meetings, team discussions, and professional development activities

Collaborate with educators and parents to generalize communication strategies in classroom and home environments
