This position will focus on serving a PreK caseload, providing critical early intervention services to support young learners communication and developmental needs.
Position Overview
The SLP will deliver assessments, therapy, and collaborative support for preschool students with speech and language challenges. This role emphasizes early intervention strategies and requires close collaboration with educators, families, and special education teams to ensure success in both academic and social development.
Requirements

Must meet all Arkansas state and local licensure requirements for Speech Language Pathologists

Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders

Active Arkansas SLP license and any required certifications

Previous school-based experience strongly preferred

Experience with early childhood/PreK students and families highly valued

Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills
Typical Job Duties

Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, and developmental skills in PreK students

Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to preschool learners

Provide direct therapy services in both individual and small group settings

Support development of foundational communication, language, and pre-literacy skills

Collaborate with teachers, classroom staff, and families to encourage carryover of communication strategies in daily routines

Monitor progress and maintain compliance with district, state, and professional standards

Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team planning sessions
