Position Overview
The SLP will provide evaluations, therapy, and consultative support for students with speech, language, and communication needs. This position requires close collaboration with educators, families, and special education teams to ensure students achieve academic and social success.
Requirements

Must meet all North Carolina state and local licensure requirements for Speech Language Pathologists

Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders

Active North Carolina SLP license and required certifications

Previous school-based experience strongly preferred

Experience with special education students and families highly valued

Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Typical Job Duties

Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments for students
-
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs

Deliver direct therapy services in both individual and group settings

Support development of articulation, fluency, receptive/expressive language, and social communication skills

Collaborate with teachers, families, and school staff to encourage skill carryover in classrooms and at home

Maintain accurate documentation of progress and compliance with state and district standards

Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team planning
