Requirements

Must meet all Delaware state and local licensure requirements for Speech Language Pathologists

Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders

Active Delaware SLP license and certifications

Previous school-based experience preferred

Experience with special education students and families highly valued

Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills
Typical Job Duties

Conduct evaluations to identify student speech and language needs

Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with student goals

Provide therapy services in both individual and small group settings

Address articulation, fluency, receptive/expressive language, and social communication skills

Collaborate with teachers and staff to integrate communication strategies into classroom learning

Engage with families to support student progress beyond the school environment

Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and compliance with district/state requirements

Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
