Position Overview
The Speech Language Pathologist will deliver evaluations, therapy, and consultative services to students with speech, language, and communication needs. Collaboration with teachers, families, and special education teams will be a key part of ensuring students reach their individual goals.
Requirements

Must meet all California state and local licensure requirements for Speech Language Pathologists

Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders

Active California SLP license (or eligibility to obtain)

Prior school-based experience strongly preferred

Experience with special education students and families is highly valued

Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
Typical Job Duties

Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments

Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs

Provide direct therapy in both individual and small-group settings

Address communication challenges, including articulation, fluency, receptive/expressive language, and social pragmatics

Collaborate with teachers and staff to integrate strategies into classroom instruction

Engage families to support communication development at home

Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and compliance records

Participate in IEP meetings and interdisciplinary team discussions
