Requirements:

Must meet all local and state regulations for Speech Language Pathologists in South Carolina

Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders

Active South Carolina SLP license and relevant certifications

Experience in a school-based setting preferred

Strongly preferred: background working with special education students and families
Typical Job Duties:

Conduct evaluations and assessments of students speech, language, and communication skills

Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers and parents

Provide direct therapy services to students in individual and group settings
-
Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as needed

Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student communication needs in the classroom

Participate in IEP meetings and provide professional recommendations
-
Maintain compliance with school district policies, state regulations, and ethical standards
