Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Occupational Therapists (OTs) for a part-time position with school districts in the Santa Monica, CA area. This role offers the opportunity to provide essential therapy services that help students access and succeed in their educational environment.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct evaluations and assessments to identify fine motor, sensory, and functional needs of students.

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and goals in compliance with IDEA and district guidelines.

Provide direct therapy services to students in both individual and group settings.
-
Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support classroom participation and student independence.
-
Recommend and support the use of adaptive equipment and assistive technology.
-
Maintain accurate progress notes, documentation, and compliance with district and state reporting requirements.

Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to program planning for students with special needs.
Required Qualifications (State & Local Compliance)
Applicants must meet all California and district requirements, including:

Masters degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.

Current California Occupational Therapy License issued by the California Board of Occupational Therapy (CBOT).

National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) certification.

Fingerprint clearance and background check through the California Department of Justice and district.

Proof of TB test/health clearance and immunization records as required by the district.

Previous school-based experience supporting children with diverse needs.

Knowledge of sensory integration, fine motor development, and adaptive equipment.
