Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) Job Duties

Provide virtual instruction and support to students with visual impairments

Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)

Adapt educational materials and classroom environments to meet student needs

Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other service providers to ensure accessibility

Provide training and resources for assistive technology use

Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports

Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal regulations
Federal and State Requirements

Bachelors or Masters degree in Education for the Visually Impaired or related field

Valid Missouri teaching certification with TVI endorsement required

Experience providing virtual or remote instruction preferred

Fingerprinting and background clearance as required by Missouri school districts
