A school district in Round Lake, IL is seeking a bilingual Social Worker to provide essential support services within the educational environment. This contract position involves collaborating with students, families, and staff to promote student well-being, address social and emotional challenges, and connect families with community resources.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to support student mental health and social development
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to create intervention plans tailored to student needs
- Assess and evaluate student behavior and social-emotional health
- Facilitate crisis intervention and provide referrals to external agencies when needed
- Maintain detailed documentation of interventions and progress
- Provide culturally responsive services in both English and a second language to meet diverse student needs
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program
- Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Social Worker
- Demonstrated fluency in English and at least one additional language
- Experience working in school settings preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with students and families
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Compensation: Pay range of $38.82 to $46.35 per hour, commensurate with experience and location.
