Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A school-based position is available for a bilingual Social Worker to support student well-being and academic success. This contract role is located in Waukegan, IL, and requires fluency in a second language to effectively serve a diverse student population.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting individual and group counseling sessions to address students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs
- Collaborating with teachers, administrators, and families to develop intervention plans
- Connecting students and families with community resources and support services
- Performing assessments and maintaining accurate documentation to monitor progress
- Promoting a positive school climate through outreach and prevention initiatives
Desired qualifications:
- Licensed or certified Social Worker with school social work experience preferred
- Bilingual proficiency to communicate effectively with students and families
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with children and adults
- Knowledge of social services and community resources relevant to the student population
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

Compensation for this role ranges from $38.82 to $46.35 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
