A contract position is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) experienced in school-based settings, offering telespeech and teletherapy services. This full-time role spans the 2025-2026 school year, running from ASAP through May 2026, with weekly hours ranging between 32.5 and 37.5.
Location: Shorewood, IL area, serving multiple schools including Walnut Trails Elementary, Minooka Primary Center, and Minooka Elementary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language therapy via teletherapy and in person to students, including those in self-contained Autism classrooms
- Manage caseloads of 33-43 students, delivering individualized treatment plans aligned with educational goals
- Collaborate with educators and special education teams to support student communication development
- Maintain accurate therapy documentation and progress reports in compliance with district and state regulations
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology licensure and certification to practice in school settings
- Proven school-based experience working with pediatric populations, including those with Autism spectrum disorders
- Proficiency in telespeech and teletherapy platforms and techniques
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple students and schedules effectively
