A contract opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) specializing in telespeech and teletherapy services within a Pre-K through 6th-grade setting. The assignment is based in Live Oak, CA, with services primarily supporting students virtually while collaborating with onsite personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech therapy services via telepractice to a caseload of approximately 78 students, including about 5 preschoolers.
- Conduct evaluations, re-evaluations, and annual reviews while collaborating with an existing virtual SLP managing assessment workloads.
- Support students through individualized education plans (IEPs), with IEP meetings held weekly on Thursdays.
- Facilitate 12 preschool student transitions as needed.
- Utilize district-specific technology, including VocoVision workstations and external cameras, for service delivery.
- Coordinate with onsite Speech-Language Pathology Assistants present five days a week and share therapy space mainly used for speech services.
- Maintain thorough documentation and familiarity with SEIS or similar educational information systems.
Qualifications:
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Experience providing teletherapy or telespeech services in an educational setting.
- Knowledge of assessment practices, therapy techniques for pediatric populations, and IEP development.
- Familiarity with virtual therapy platforms and related technology.
- Ability to manage a complex caseload effectively while maintaining clear communication and collaboration with onsite support staff.
