Blazer Jobs is looking for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to fill a full-time role within school districts in the Fort Smith, AR area. This role focuses on assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, and communication disorders in students, helping them succeed academically and socially.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address each students needs.
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services in individual and group settings.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to integrate communication goals into the educational environment.
- Monitor and document student progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary.
- Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings, providing expertise and recommendations for student support.
- Offer training and guidance to teachers and parents on strategies to reinforce communication skills.
Requirements:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Current Arkansas Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Experience working with children in a school setting is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
