Job Description:
We are looking for a compassionate and skilled School Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team. This role involves providing therapy services to K-12 students, helping them develop the skills necessary to succeed in their educational environment. As a vital member of our multidisciplinary team, you will support students' physical, sensory, and cognitive development, enabling them to achieve their fullest potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students' abilities and develop individualized therapy plans to address their unique needs.
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in both individual and group settings.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational staff to integrate therapy goals into the students' daily routines.
- Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed to ensure continued growth.
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing to the development of goals and objectives for each student.
- Educate and support teachers and staff on strategies to enhance student participation and success.
- Adapt and modify school environments to support students' access to educational activities.
- Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions, progress notes, and compliance with IEPs.
Requirements:
- Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Valid stateOccupational Therapist License.
- Experience working with K-12 students in a school setting preferred.
- Strong understanding of IDEA and the role of OT in educational settings.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Ability to develop and implement creative and effective therapy plans.
