Full-Time Speech Language Pathologist - Acton, CA
Blazer Jobs is actively seeking an experienced Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a full-time role within school districts in the Acton, CA area. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to identify students communication needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each students unique needs.
- Provide direct therapy services in both individual and group settings.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support students' communication goals.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of educational plans.
- Educate students, families, and staff about speech and language disorders and effective strategies to support communication.
Requirements:
Applicants must meet the following local and state requirements to be considered:
State of California Requirements:
- California SLP License: Must hold a valid and active Speech-Language Pathology license issued by the California Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensers Board.
- California Credential: Possess or be eligible for the California Clinical or Rehabilitative Services Credential in Language, Speech, and Hearing or the Speech-Language Pathology Services Credential.
- Masters Degree: Hold a Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- ASHA Certification: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
- Fingerprint Clearance: Must pass a Department of Justice (DOJ) and FBI background check.
- TB Test: A current tuberculosis (TB) test is required.
Local Acton Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as an SLP, preferably in a school setting.
- Bilingual: Fluency in Spanish is a plus but not required.
