Blazerworks has partnered with a highly regarded school district in Oakland, CA, to hire a dedicated Bilingual School SLPA for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year. We are seeking a passionate and skilled Speech-Language Pathology Assistant to support students in improving their communication skills.
Position Overview:
- Full-Time role, Monday through Friday
- Work closely with Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to deliver targeted therapy
- Provide direct speech therapy services to students, following treatment plans developed by SLPs
- Assist with documentation and progress monitoring to ensure students meet their individual goals
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to create a supportive learning environment
- Serve a diverse population of students with speech and language needs, ranging from mild to moderate impairments
- Support bilingual students by providing therapy in both English and their native language
Qualifications:
- Must be Bilingual (Spanish-English preferred)
- Active SLPA license in California (required)
- Bachelors degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, or related field
- Previous experience working in a school setting is highly desirable
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Passionate about helping students succeed academically and socially
