Minimum 1+ years social worker experience required.
We are looking for a compassionate and skilled School Social Worker to join our team in Rifle, CO. The School Social Worker will provide essential support to students, families, and staff, helping to address social, emotional, and behavioral challenges to enhance students' academic success and well-being.
Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling to students to address emotional, behavioral, and social issues.
- Conduct assessments to identify students' needs and develop appropriate intervention plans.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create and implement strategies to support students' academic and personal growth.
- Participate in the development and review of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and contribute to team meetings.
- Provide crisis intervention and support for students facing immediate emotional or behavioral challenges.
- Assist in connecting families with community resources and support services.
- Develop and deliver workshops or training sessions for staff and parents on topics related to student well-being and support.
- Maintain accurate records of interventions and progress and ensure compliance with confidentiality and ethical standards.
Qualifications:
- Masters Degree in Social Work (MSW) or related field.
- Valid Colorado School Social Worker license.
- Experience working in a school setting is preferred.
- Strong understanding of child development, social work principles, and intervention strategies.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with students, families, and educational professionals.
- Commitment to supporting the diverse needs of students and fostering a positive school environment.
