Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated School Psychologist to provide psychological services across K-12 grade levels in the Tooele, UT area. This full-time position involves conducting psychoeducational assessments, providing interventions, and supporting students academic, behavioral, and emotional growth. The ideal candidate will be skilled in collaborating with teachers, parents, and staff to create effective support plans for students. Specific details of the caseload and responsibilities will be provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments for students from K-12.
- Collaborate with educational staff, administrators, and parents to develop and implement intervention strategies.
- Contribute to the development of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and 504 Plans.
- Provide counseling and psychological services to students in need of emotional or behavioral support.
- Offer consultation to teachers and parents to address student challenges and promote positive academic outcomes.
- Maintain detailed records of evaluations, recommendations, and student progress.
- Participate in meetings related to student support, including IEP and parent conferences.
Qualifications:
- Masters or Specialist degree in School Psychology.
- Utah School Psychologist Licensure (or eligibility for licensure) required; already licensed in Utah is preferred.
- Experience working with K-12 students is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of psychoeducational assessments, behavior management techniques, and special education laws.
- Ability to work independently and manage a flexible caseload.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
