Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs) for a full-time, school-based role with districts in the Hamtramck, Michigan area. This opportunity is for the 20252026 school year and involves supporting a caseload of approximately 45 students, split between K8 and high school populations.
We are looking for a committed SLP who is passionate about student development and eager to make an impact in a diverse educational setting.

Caseload: Approximately 45 students (half K8, half high school)
Renewal: Based on performance and district needs
Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations

Develop and implement individualized IEPs

Provide direct and indirect speech-language therapy services

Participate in IEP meetings, parent consultations, and multidisciplinary team collaborations

Maintain accurate service documentation and progress reports
-
Provide consultation and support to teachers and staff regarding student communication needs
Qualifications & Requirements
Applicants must meet all local and state requirements to be considered:

Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders

Active Michigan SLP license issued by the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA)

Michigan Department of Education approval or certification for school-based services (e.g., Temporary or Full Approval)

Completion of fingerprinting and background check in accordance with district policies

Experience working with K12 populations preferred

Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
