State and Federal Requirements:

Must meet all state and federal background check requirements.

Compliance with Florida Department of Education regulations for school-based SLPs.
Key Responsibilities:

Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in school-aged children.

Create and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) in coordination with educators and families.

Deliver direct therapy services in both individual and group settings.

Conduct evaluations and maintain accurate records of student progress.

Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

Provide support in both in-person and virtual learning environments as needed.
