We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a supportive school district in Bastrop, Texas, for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a significant impact on students' lives in a vibrant community.
Location: Bastrop, TX Start Date: August 4, 2025 End Date: May 22, 2026 Hours: 37.5 hours/week
Caseload & Details:
- Full-time position, requiring bilingual (Spanish/English) proficiency.
- Serving 1-2 elementary schools (Early Education - 5th grade).
- Hybrid position: 3 days on-site, 2 days virtual, offering flexibility and work-life balance.
Job Duties:
As a school-based SLP, your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive speech and language evaluations.
- Developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with communication disorders.
- Providing direct and indirect speech and language therapy services.
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other school personnel to support student success.
- Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of student progress.
- Participating in ARD meetings and other team collaborations.
Qualifications:
- Active educator license as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is required.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) proficiency is essential for this role.
- Experience working with elementary school-aged children preferred.
Compensation:
The average hourly rate for a contract licensed school-based professional in Texas is $40-$50 based on experience.
