Requirements:
All applicants must meet the following local and state certification requirements to be considered:

Active New Mexico Speech-Language Pathologist license issued by the New Mexico Regulation and Licensing Department

New Mexico Public Education Department (PED) licensure for school-based practice

Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders from an accredited program

Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)

Prior experience in a school-based setting preferred

Familiarity with teletherapy platforms and digital tools for remote instruction

Reliable internet connection and appropriate technology setup for delivering remote services

Completion of all required background checks and fingerprinting
Typical Responsibilities:

Provide virtual speech and language therapy services to K12 students

Conduct remote assessments and evaluations to determine student needs

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and IEP goals

Track and document student progress using digital data systems

Collaborate remotely with teachers, parents, and school teams

Attend virtual IEP meetings and contribute to team decision-making

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and district guidelines for special education services
