Position Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and credentialed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) to join our student support services team. The SLP will assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in students from PreK through 12th grade. This role is ideal for clinicians who thrive in collaborative, school-based settings and want to make a direct impact on student communication, learning, and success.
Key Responsibilities: - Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments in accordance with state and federal guidelines
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for eligible students
- Provide direct therapy services (individual and group) aligned with student IEP goals
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, special education staff, and other related service providers
- Maintain accurate documentation of services, progress reports, evaluations, and Medicaid billing, if applicable
- Participate in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
- Serve as a communication resource for staff and families, offering strategies for classroom and home support
- Stay current with evidence-based practices and participate in professional development
Qualifications: - Masters degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or related field
- Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA
- Active Texas Speech-Language Pathology License issued by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR)
- Must meet standards for school-based practice, including background and fingerprint clearance
- Preferred: School-based experience and familiarity with Texas IEP systems (e.g., Frontline, SuccessEd)
