Blazer Jobs is currently interviewing experienced Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs) for full-time roles in partnership with school districts in the Middletown, Rhode Island area for the upcoming school year. We are seeking dedicated professionals committed to helping students thrive through individualized support and evidence-based interventions.
Details:
- Location: Middletown, RI
- Full Time: 35 hours per week
- Pay Rate: $45+ per hour
- Caseload: Pre-school age group. The district likes to discuss more details at the time of interview to see the best fit based on experience.
Requirements Applicants Must Meet All Local and State Criteria: - Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders from an accredited institution.
- Current Rhode Island Speech Language Pathology License issued by the RI Department of Health.
- Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) (CCC-SLP) strongly preferred.
- Rhode Island Department of Education (RIDE) certification for service providers in school settings, if applicable.
- Successful completion of a state and federal background check and fingerprinting.
- Previous school-based experience is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities: - Provide remote speech and language therapy to students in K12 settings
- Conduct virtual assessments and evaluations using teletherapy platforms
- Develop and manage IEPs in collaboration with school teams
- Maintain detailed and timely documentation in compliance with state and district policies
- Regularly consult with educators, parents, and support staff
- Adapt instructional strategies to meet individual student needs in a virtual environment
