Details:
- Location: Albuquerque, NM
- Full Time: 39 hours per week
- Caseload: K-12 caseload. Assignment will depend on need and experience. The district likes to discuss more details at the time of interview to see the best fit based on experience.
Requirements Applicants Must Meet All Local and State Criteria: - Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders from an accredited program.
- Active New Mexico Speech-Language Pathology License issued by the New Mexico Regulation and Licensing Department.
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
- New Mexico Public Education Department (NMPED) licensure for service providers in schools, if applicable.
- Completion of background check and fingerprinting as required by the district.
- Previous school-based experience preferred but not required.
Responsibilities: - Provide remote speech and language therapy to students in K12 settings
- Conduct virtual assessments and evaluations using teletherapy platforms
- Develop and manage IEPs in collaboration with school teams
- Maintain detailed and timely documentation in compliance with state and district policies
- Regularly consult with educators, parents, and support staff
- Adapt instructional strategies to meet individual student needs in a virtual environment
