Requirements:
Applicants must meet the following local and state certification requirements:

Active Texas Speech-Language Pathologist license issued by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR)

Texas State Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology credentialing
-
Valid Texas educator certification (Speech-Language Pathologist or SLP Assistant, if applicable)
-
Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders from an accredited university

Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), or eligibility to obtain

Experience working in a school setting preferred

Must pass all required background checks and fingerprinting
Typical Responsibilities:

Assess students speech, language, and communication abilities
-
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
-
Provide direct and consultative speech therapy services to students

Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student needs

Monitor and document student progress toward communication goals
-
Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team planning
-
Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with state and district guidelines
