Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs) for full-time positions in collaboration with school districts in the Pasadena, Texas area for the upcoming school year. This is a rewarding opportunity for professionals passionate about helping students develop essential communication skills and thrive in academic environments. As a School-Based Speech Language Pathologist, you will assess, diagnose, and provide therapy for students with speech, language, and communication challenges. Youll collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) and ensure student success.
Details:
- Location: Pasadena, TX
- Full Time: 37.5 hours per week
- Caseload: K-12 caseload. Assignment will depend on need and experience. The district likes to discuss more details at the time of interview to see the best fit.
Requirements Applicants Must Meet All Local and State Criteria: - Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders from an accredited program.
- Valid Texas Speech-Language Pathology license issued by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR).
- Valid or eligible Texas Educator Certificate (issued by the State Board for Educator Certification) as a Speech-Language Pathologist (or Speech Therapist).
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
- Must be able to pass background checks and fingerprinting per district policy.
- Prior school-based experience is a plus.
Responsibilities: - Provide remote speech and language therapy to students in K12 settings
- Conduct virtual assessments and evaluations using teletherapy platforms
- Develop and manage IEPs in collaboration with school teams
- Maintain detailed and timely documentation in compliance with state and district policies
- Regularly consult with educators, parents, and support staff
- Adapt instructional strategies to meet individual student needs in a virtual environment
