Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Occupational Therapists for a full-time, short-term assignment with a school district in the Schaumburg, Illinois area. This opportunity is to cover a maternity leave from August 15 through early November during the upcoming school year. The position offers a consistent weekly schedule of 37.5 hours per week.
Details:
- Location: Schaumburg, IL
- Full Time: 37.5 hours per week (During approx. 12 weeks of the school year from August 15 Early November; mat leave coverage)
- Caseload: High school caseload, conducting testing and evaluations. The district likes to discuss more details at the time of interview to see the best fit based on experience, including age group.
Applicants must meet all state and local requirements: - Masters degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Current Illinois state license in Occupational Therapy issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR).
- Valid registration with the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
- Must meet all district background check and fingerprinting requirements.
- Prior experience in a school-based setting is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities: - Conduct evaluations and assessments of students' fine motor, sensory, and functional skills
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals related to occupational therapy
- Provide direct and consultative therapy services to students in various educational settings
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student success
- Maintain accurate records, data, and progress reports in compliance with district and state guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and team conferences as needed
