Blazer Jobs is currently interviewing experienced and compassionate Occupational Therapists for a full-time, temporary role providing maternity leave coverage in a school-based setting located in Schaumburg, Illinois. This opportunity will serve students ages 35 years at the districts Early Learning Center.
Position Summary:
The Occupational Therapist will play a critical role in supporting the developmental and functional needs of young learners by delivering age-appropriate therapeutic interventions and collaborating with educational staff and families.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct evaluations to assess developmental delays and fine motor, sensory, and self-help skills

Develop and implement individualized therapy plans in alignment with IEP goals
-
Provide direct and consultative OT services for children ages 35 in classroom settings

Collaborate with early childhood educators, paraprofessionals, and families
-
Document services and student progress in accordance with district and state guidelines
-
Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to early intervention and preschool transition planning
Qualifications and Requirements:
All applicants must meet local and state requirements to be considered, including:

Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program

Active Illinois state license to practice Occupational Therapy

Certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)

Completion of required background checks and fingerprinting in accordance with Illinois state law and district policy
-
Pediatric or early childhood experience preferred
