Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced and dedicated bilingual (Spanish) School Psychologists for a full-time position with a school district in the Zion, Illinois area. This opportunity runs through the 20252026 academic year, with strong potential for renewal based on performance.
Position Summary:
The ideal candidate will provide psychological services that support the academic, social, and emotional development of students. Fluency in Spanish is required to effectively communicate with students and families and conduct bilingual assessments.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct psychoeducational assessments for referred students

Interpret data to help inform eligibility and program decisions
-
Provide counseling, crisis intervention, and behavioral support to students
-
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement individualized support plans
-
Participate in multidisciplinary teams and Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings
-
Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with state and federal guidelines
-
Assist in the development of culturally and linguistically appropriate assessment practices
-
Support initiatives to promote mental health and academic success district-wide
Qualifications and Requirements:
All applicants must meet local and state certification requirements to be eligible, including:

Masters or Specialist degree in School Psychology from an accredited institution

Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Psychologist endorsement

Bilingual (Spanish/English) fluency, both written and spoken

Experience conducting bilingual psychoeducational assessments preferred

Familiarity with IDEA, Section 504, and MTSS processes

Successful completion of background check and fingerprinting as required by Illinois law

Previous school-based experience strongly preferred
