Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join a general education school team in Charlotte, NC for the 20252026 academic year. The RBT will work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to support K12 students in implementing behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and promoting positive behavioral development in the school setting.
Key Responsibilities:

Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under BCBA supervision

Collect and record accurate behavioral data daily

Support students in classrooms, common areas, and other school settings

Provide one-on-one or small group behavior support

Collaborate with educators, administrators, and other support personnel

Assist in training school staff on basic behavioral strategies when needed

Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards as outlined by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
Qualifications:

Active RBT certification through the BACB

High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelors degree in education, psychology, or related field preferred

Previous experience working in a school or educational setting preferred

Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills

Ability to work effectively with students, staff, and families

Must meet local school district requirements including background check and health screenings
Preferred Skills:
-
Experience with students on the autism spectrum or with emotional/behavioral disorders
-
Crisis intervention training (CPI, PCM, etc.) is a plus
-
Bilingual proficiency is a bonus, though not required
