Blazer Jobs is currently interviewing experienced Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs) for part-time roles during the Extended School Year (ESY) with school districts in the Denton, Maryland area. This is a valuable opportunity to support students who require services beyond the traditional school calendar.
Details:
- Location: Denton, MD
- Part Time: 15 hours per week
- Caseload: K-12, depending upon need and experience. The district likes to discuss more details at the time of interview to see the best fit.
Requirements Applicants Must Meet All Local and State Criteria: - Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
- Active Maryland SLP license issued by the Maryland Board of Examiners for Audiologists, Hearing Aid Dispensers, and Speech-Language Pathologists
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred, but CFY candidates may be considered
- Current fingerprinting/background check as required by local districts
- Prior school-based or pediatric experience preferred
Responsibilities: - Provide remote speech and language therapy to students in K12 settings
- Conduct virtual assessments and evaluations using teletherapy platforms
- Develop and manage IEPs in collaboration with school teams
- Maintain detailed and timely documentation in compliance with state and district policies
- Regularly consult with educators, parents, and support staff
- Adapt instructional strategies to meet individual student needs in a virtual environment
