Requirements:
To be considered for this role, applicants must meet all Kansas state and local requirements, including:

Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution

Current and valid Kansas Speech-Language Pathology license issued by the Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services (KDADS)
-
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred
-
Valid Kansas State Department of Education (KSDE) license with appropriate endorsement for school-based practice
-
Completion of required background check and fingerprint clearance as mandated by the school district
-
Previous experience in a school setting is preferred

Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
Typical Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations
-
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with communication disorders
-
Provide direct therapy services aligned with IEP goals
-
Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to ensure integrated support for students
-
Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
-
Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed
-
Support students in developing speech, language, fluency, voice, and social communication skills
