Blazer Jobs is seeking a compassionate and experienced School Social Worker for a full-time role in Chesapeake, Virginia. This role is critical in helping students overcome barriers to academic and social success by providing counseling, crisis intervention, and family support services.
Responsibilities:

Conduct assessments of students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs.

Develop and implement intervention plans.

Provide counseling services to students individually and in groups.

Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student development.

Connect families to community resources and services as needed.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
Requirements:

Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) required.

Current Virginia Board of Education School Social Worker license or eligibility to obtain it.

Minimum of one year of experience in a school or pediatric setting.

Strong communication and organizational skills.
-
Background check and fingerprint clearance required.
