Blazer Jobs is currently seeking an experienced Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a full-time position with school districts in the Kansas, KS area. This opportunity is for the 20252026 school year, with contract dates running from August 4, 2025 to May 22, 2026. Renewal for the following school year will be based on performance.
Position Summary:
The COTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to help students develop or regain skills necessary for academic and daily life success. This role plays a key part in delivering therapy services within educational settings.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the implementation of individualized occupational therapy treatment plans

Support students in developing fine motor, sensory processing, and daily living skills

Maintain documentation of student progress and communicate updates to supervising OT
-
Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student goals
-
Adapt materials and school environments to help meet students therapeutic needs
-
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and district guidelines
Qualifications and Requirements:
Applicants must meet the following local and state standards:

Associates degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program

Current certification through the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)

Active Kansas COTA license issued by the Kansas Board of Healing Arts
-
Knowledge of school-based therapy services and IEP processes
-
Previous school-based experience preferred
