We are currently seeking a compassionate and experienced School Social Worker to join a collaborative team within a school district in Lapeer, Michigan. In this full-time role, you will provide direct counseling services and work closely with school staff and community partners to support the mental health and social-emotional development of high school students.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver individual and group counseling services to high school students

Conduct comprehensive social-emotional assessments and develop targeted treatment plans

Partner with teachers and school staff to support students' academic and emotional growth

Collaborate with families and community organizations to coordinate wraparound services

Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all services provided
Qualifications:

Masters degree in social work or a related field

Active School Social Work license in the state of Michigan

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to effectively collaborate with educators, families, and external partners

Knowledge of evidence-based counseling strategies and interventions
