Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs) for full-time positions in collaboration with local school districts in the Waxahachie, Texas area for the upcoming 2025 school year. Details:
- Location: Waxahachie, TX
- Full Time: 40 hours per week
- Caseload: Elementary school assignment. The district likes to discuss more details at the time of interview to see the best fit.
Requirements Applicants Must Meet All Local and State Criteria: - Active Texas SLP License issued by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR)
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred (CFY candidates may also be considered)
- Texas Education Agency (TEA) credentials or eligibility to work in a school setting
- Completion of all required state and district background checks
- School-based or pediatric experience strongly preferred
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
Responsibilities: - Provide remote speech and language therapy to students in K12 settings
- Conduct virtual assessments and evaluations using teletherapy platforms
- Develop and manage IEPs in collaboration with school teams
- Maintain detailed and timely documentation in compliance with state and district policies
- Regularly consult with educators, parents, and support staff
- Adapt instructional strategies to meet individual student needs in a virtual environment
