Requirements:
Applicants must meet all state and local requirements, including:

Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program

Active Texas Occupational Therapist license issued by the Texas Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners (TBOTE)
-
Registration with the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
-
Prior pediatric or school-based experience strongly preferred
-
Ability to pass a criminal background check and any other screenings required by the school district
Typical Responsibilities:
-
Conduct evaluations to assess students fine motor, sensory, and functional skills in the educational environment
-
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs
-
Provide direct therapy services to students, both one-on-one and in group settings
-
Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student participation and performance in school activities
-
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, therapy sessions, and progress reports
-
Participate in IEP meetings, team discussions, and professional development
