Contract School Psychologist - K-12 - Lansing, MI
Location: Lansing, MI Hours: Full-time, with openness to part-time candidates Start Date: August Start June 5th, 2026
Caseload/Details: You will provide comprehensive school psychological services across multiple K-12 school buildings within the district. This will involve a diverse caseload, offering a wide range of experiences and opportunities to apply your expertise.
Job Duties: As a School Psychologist, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Conducting comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations for students to determine eligibility for special education services.
- Interpreting assessment results and developing individualized education programs (IEPs) in collaboration with school teams and families.
- Providing counseling and intervention services to students.
- Consulting with teachers, parents, and administrators regarding student behavior, academic progress, and social-emotional development.
- Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings and contributing to data-driven decision-making.
- Implementing and monitoring behavioral intervention plans.
- Supporting crisis intervention and prevention efforts.
- Contributing to a positive and inclusive school environment.
Requirements:
- Must hold an active School Psychologist license in the state of Michigan.
- Prior experience in a school setting is preferred, but highly motivated new graduates with strong internship experience are encouraged to apply.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- A commitment to student success and a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
- Willingness to obtain licensure in the working state.
- Willingness to travel over 75 miles from your home base.
