Required Qualifications:
Candidates must meet all state and local certification requirements, including:

Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders from an accredited program

Active South Carolina Speech-Language Pathology License issued by the South Carolina Board of Examiners in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology
-
South Carolina Department of Education certification as a Speech-Language Therapist (or eligibility to obtain)
-
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellows (CFY) may be considered

Completion of state-required background checks and clearances
Key Responsibilities:

Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders

Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with IDEA regulations
-
Deliver evidence-based direct speech and language therapy to students
-
Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student communication goals

Monitor student progress and maintain accurate, timely documentation

Support inclusive practices and classroom-based interventions
