Blazer Jobs is currently interviewing experienced School Psychologists for a full-time position within school districts in the Wheeling, IL area. This role is for the 20252026 school year, with contract dates from August 18, 2025, through June 2, 2026, and will serve an elementary school setting. Renewal for the following school year is based on performance.
Position Details:

Collaborative and student-centered work environment
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct psychological and academic assessments to evaluate student needs
-
Collaborate with educators and families to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
-
Support intervention planning through Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and Response to Intervention (RTI)
-
Provide individual and small group counseling as needed
-
Consult with teachers and administrators to address academic and behavioral challenges
-
Assist with crisis intervention and prevention efforts
-
Maintain detailed and confidential student documentation in accordance with district and state guidelines
Required Qualifications:

Masters or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology

Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Psychologist endorsement

Familiarity with Illinois state and federal special education regulations
-
Strong assessment, communication, and collaborative skills
-
Prior experience in an elementary school setting is preferred
