Qualifications Required:
Associates degree from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
Current Texas PTA license issued by the Texas Board of Physical Therapy Examiners
Previous experience in a pediatric or school-based setting preferred
Key Responsibilities:
Implement physical therapy programs as developed by the supervising Physical Therapist
Support students in improving mobility, motor skills, and physical functioning in an educational setting
Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to promote functional outcomes for students
Document progress and communicate with the Physical Therapist and IEP team
Follow all district, state, and federal guidelines related to therapy services
